In the former European Capital of Culture, William Forsythe presents new projects at the Folkwang Museum, with City of Abstracts kicking off in the museum&#8217;s foyer in February 2019.<br\/>This was followed in June by Human Writes Drawings, and then the participatory work Acquisition\/K\u00f6rperschaft in November 2019.<br\/>In the work Acquisition\/K\u00f6rperschaft, conceived specifically for the Museum Folkwang, the American choreographer and artist, born in 1949, explores the relationship between ideal and commercial values in the art market and the institution of the museum. The artist reverses the classical understanding of a museum, conceiving it as a place of production and acquisition. In addition to choreographic actions, textual and audiovisual instructions and installations can be experienced during the action period at various locations within the museum, such as the display column specially designed and realized by AMECKO. <br\/>In the conception and implementation of the display column, the goal was to develop a reusable, sustainable solution that could also be used for other purposes within the museum. &#8220;Sustainability is a very important topic for us at AMECKO. Whenever it is possible to act in a resource-saving manner, we do so in accordance with our self-imposed sustainability standards,&#8221; says Martin Jennes, project manager at the Oberhausen exhibition builder. &#8220;The development of plug-in individual elements also significantly facilitates assembly and disassembly,&#8221; Jennes continues.   <br\/><br\/>To meet the high fire protection class A1 in the foyer of a public building, materials such as steel bases and plasterboard panels were selected in accordance with fire protection regulations.<br\/>Through the construction, thought out to the smallest detail, and the high-quality structural implementation in line with the challenges of the local conditions, the Oberhausen exhibition builder has created an exceptional presentation area for the experiential art of William Forsythe, and for works by other artists in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Essen.
