The large red heart, prominently positioned at the center, seemed to have sprung straight from the foundation’s logo to settle in the Congress Center at Messe Frankfurt and draw visitors’ attention to the organization’s children’s aid projects around the world.

“The idea of using the heart from the foundation’s logo, enlarged, as a structural element came from the client themselves. The aim was to create a striking key visual to stand out among the many stands at the congress,” explains Alexander Scholz, Key Account Manager at the exhibition stand construction specialist AMECKO from Oberhausen.

For the structural implementation, the supporting agency Scholz & Friends NeuMarkt approached the team in Oberhausen. In addition to coordinating with the client, detailed planning and technical implementation, construction, as well as painting and graphic work, a tight schedule of just under two weeks had to be met. “Thanks to our many years of experience, we are used to tight timeframes and know how to handle them accordingly,” says Dieter Happel, the authorised signatory responsible for the project.

The tight timeframe was not AMECKO’s only challenge: “In many preliminary discussions with the client, it became clear that this would not simply be a large heart for one-time use. Rather, after its deployment in Frankfurt, it was to remain usable for an unknown number of further events,” explains Alexander Scholz. “Because our guiding principle at AMECKO is always aimed at effective and efficient use of resources. We plan and act sustainably. Thanks to bespoke concepts and high-quality, professional execution, the elements can be reused for years to come.”

In addition to the heart, AMECKO planned and structurally implemented complementary elements. These included, for example, two heart-shaped stools printed with the logo of the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation, as well as a pop-up wall as the stand’s back wall. Like the heart, it can be reused, can be assembled without any tools, and is also equipped with different graphic sets for various applications.

Regine Sixt and the team at the Children’s Aid Foundation Drying Little Tears were delighted with AMECKO’s structural realisation of their idea. After its premiere at the GBTA Conference, the heart could be dismantled into manageable elements that, securely packed in transport crates, fit into an estate car. In principle, this means that anyone with practical skills can transport and assemble the heart at events. Alexander Scholz: “We are already excited to see where the heart will appear in the future.”

At the GBTA Conference in Frankfurt—Europe’s largest conference for the business and travel industry—one stand stood out in particular: that of the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation Drying Little Tears, powered by Sixt.
